The Top Menu

The top menu consists of the following parts:

  • The mindlog button
  • The main menu drawers
  • The shortcut bar
  • The search field
  • Your account menu

The Mindlog Button​

The Mindlog button gives you quick access to Mindlog and also lets you view recent notifications.

The Menu Drawers​

Besides, you can see three buttons:

  • The New menu allows you to quickly generate a new element in ZeyOS, such as an e-mail message or an appointment. You can also access this menu by pressing the F2 button on your keyboard. When the menu is open, you can also start typing to quickly select an element.

  • The Recent menu gives you quick access to all items you have recently opened in ZeyOS. This is really useful when rapidly switching between different elements.

  • The Apps menu lists all apps your user has access to. To find out more about permission management, read our article on Permissions.

The Shortcut Bar​

To quickly access the apps that you use regularly, you can create a customised selection of your favourite apps. You can create these by dragging them into the shortcut bar. There you can add and remove apps as well as determining their order. You can add an app by opening the Apps menu and dragging its icon onto the shortcut bar. To change the order or delete apps, double-click on the shortcut bar. This activates the change mode, which allows you to move shortcuts. You can delete applications by pressing the 'X' button next to the respective app. If an app is needed again, it can be called up via the "Apps" section or dragged back onto the menu bar from there. In this way, the apps can be listed user-specifically depending on how often they are used. The arrangement for other users does not change.

Notification indicator​

The small red number on an app icon indicates how many new entries there are for functions that affect the user, i.e. to which they have access (e.g. because they are registered as editor). They appear when someone changes some elements. These can be viewed and marked as read (black hook), if you drive the mouse arrow over the app without clicking on it or, if necessary, more closely tracked.

The Search Field​

The search field allows you to quickly search across all elements in ZeyOS. Once you start typing, you will see the search results grouped by entity. When you use the search feature, you need to be aware that:

  1. The search results are limited to the 10 best results and 3 items per entity.
  2. Search is only applied to indexed fields, such as name or reference number. If you want to perform a more specific search, e.g. search the contents of an e-mail, it makes more sense to apply specific filters inside the affected module.

The User Menu​

The user menu allows you to manage various settings:

  1. You can change the details for your own user (e.g. your photo or contact details)
  2. Admin users can access the ZeyOS Control Center
  3. Admin users can manage the ZeyOS Subscription
  4. Admin users can access User Management
  5. Admin users can access Enhancements and Development
  6. You can change the current language
  7. You can change your user's password
  8. You can logout your user
